Glacial Marine Clay
The Emperor of our ingredients list. This accounts for approximately 40% of the product so is at the very top of our ingredients list.
The clay has been formed in rivers created around the Glaciers in a pristine and remote area in British Columbia, Canada. This process has been on going since the Ice Age which is about approximately 2.6 million years. The clay is made up of a collection of different minerals, earth elements, some of them very rare, which has led to a compound that is negatively charged and this brings with it incredible benefits. To simplify this down good bacteria in the body is negatively charged, bad bacteria in the body is positively charged. As the saying goes opposites attract! The negative charge of the clay draws out the positively charged bad bacteria. This means that the clay is very good at expelling toxins and bacteria and drawing them to the surface of the skin and does not effect the good bacteria in the body. The clay basically absorbs the toxins like a sponge and expels them from your skin. The clay also absorbs natural oils that are often toxic and removes them as well. The clay is also an exfoliant so is very good at removing excess sebum which is key to an acne free face. The clay will leave your face feeling refreshed and vitalized.

Witch Hazel
Witch Hazel contains Tannins and Polyphenols.
Tannins are a natural astringent, this means it is excellent at removing excess oils, which makes it very effective in the treatment of acne.
Polyphenols are used to help reduce the signs of aging. They are anti-inflammatory and contain anti-oxidants capable of destroying free radicals in the body.
Tea Tree Oil
Tea Tree oil is excellent at relieving skin inflammation as it is both anti-bacterial and anti-fungal.
Tea tree oil can help relieve any type of skin inflammation. It is known to help with skin conditions such as Psoriasis and Eczema.
Purified Wintergreen Extract
This is the first 100% natural pure salicylic acid molecule and is an alternative to synthetic salicylic acid. Keeping in line with our all things natural we added in this excellent extract that is anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory, purifies the skin and eliminates sebum excess and erases imperfections. It can also help smooth wrinkles, which can help reduce the signs of aging.
Ginseng
Well we had to add Ginseng to Man Mud. Originally called Man Root, as it looks like little men! Just up our alley!
Ginseng is an ingredient with anti-aging properties, it can help firm and help with the reduction of wrinkles. Due to the high phytonutrient* content found in ginseng it can help protect the skin from environmental stresses such as UV rays.

Grapefruit
Grapefruit is a natural astringent and anti-oxidant. The Vitamin C stimulates the production of skin collagen. The potassium in grapefruit helps to smooth wrinkles and age spots. The amino acids present in grapefruit also help to tighten the skin.
